Pujya Acharya Shri Chandanaji Maharaj is one of the most inspirational Jain personalities of recent times, a visionary who is forward thinking and successful in instituting change. With the blessings of Pujya Gurudev Upadhyaya Shri Amar Muniji Maharaj, Acharya Shri Chandanaji Maharaj has rekindled the flame of religion by embarking on the path of compassion in action.
Acharya Shri Chandanaji Maharaj renounced the worldly life in 1951, at the age of fourteen, dedicating herself to the cause of uplifting humanity. Inspired to uplift the poverty-stricken state of Bihar in India, with the qualities portrayed through the life and teachings of Tirthankar Mahavir, Acharya Shri Chandanaji Maharaj took on this challenge with efforts to extend compassion, friendship and love to all humanity in forming Veerayatan. Her Divine personality and her boundless compassion has touched many lives. Faced with challenging conditions, and with her unwavering resolve, she has brought new hope to millions at our respected pilgrimage sites, Rajgir, Pawapuri and Lucchawad, through various health and education programmes.

SADHVI SHRI SHILAPIJI MAHARAJ
Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji Maharaj is a dynamic and inspiring leader, striving to make a change in the world. At the heart of all she does is Tirthankar Mahavir’s message of love, compassion and non-violence.
In 2001, Sadhvi Shilapiji was pursuing her Ph.D. in Comparative Religions at Kings College, London when she heard about the devastating earthquake in Kutch. She left her studies immediately and rushed to this remote district to console the victims and initiate the enormous task of relief and rehabilitation in the earthquake-affected area. From that day on, Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji has devoted a major part of her life to helping the needy and the downtrodden in Kutch. Realizing the need for education at all levels in this backward region, she set up primary, secondary and technical education along with vocational training centers at several sites in Kutch.
With her leadership and motivation, Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth was established in London and other countries for the Jain community. The thousands of people she has inspired describe her as brilliant, heart-warming, dedicated to service, passionate, a deep thinker and someone who has profound faith. The unique way in which she conveys the message of spirituality enables her to reach out to many young minds across the globe. She has succeeded in awakening people to reach their highest potential in whatever they do and her presence is truly unforgettable.
With the blessings of her guru Acharya Shri Chandanaji, she renounced the world in the year 1986.
